Natural rubber is produced by processing latex, the milky-white liquid obtained from the bark of rubber trees. Approximately 30–40% of collected latex consists of rubber. Its regular molecular structure and the ability of polymer chains to orient under load contribute to its high elasticity and tensile strength. For this reason, NR is widely used in technical rubber applications exposed to vibration, impact and continuous dynamic loads.
